What is PSU and how it can be classified?

PSU are the companies whose 51% or more shares are held by central government or state government or partially by both of them.

PSU can be classified into 3 types which are Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), and Public Sector Banks (PSBs).

Department of public enterprise (DPE) further classify Central Public Sector Enterprises into MAHARATNA, NAVRATNA and MINIRATNA I & II Categories.

Selection Process for MDL Recruitment through GATE 2019

Selection Process for NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2019

Qualified applicants must apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2018. Depending on the GATE-2018 marks and needs, applicants shall be shortlisted for appearing in Online Aptitude Test, which is just qualifying in nature. Based mostly on performance in the Aptitude test, applicants shall be further shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2019. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) looks for active and enthusiastic Graduate Engineers (Indian Nationals only) for employment as Engineers/Officers and few Graduate
Engineers will be engaged as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs). Employment in all the Engineering branches is on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE Score.

Short-listing of candidates for further selection process (comprising Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT) and Personal Interviews (PI)) is based on the GATE-2019 score. GATE score of 2018 or any other previous examination is not valid. Candidates will require obtaining minimum 40% marks in GD/GT and Personal Interview for being considered in the merit list.

Remuneration for IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2019

Applicants selected as Engineers/ Officers will have an initial basic pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month. Additionally, the selected applicants will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and further allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as revised from time to time.
Other allowances /benefits include HRA/subsidized housing accommodation (conditional upon place of posting), medical services, performance related pay, gratuity, contributory provident fund, employees’ pension plan, group personal accident insurance scheme, leave encashment, leave travel concession (LTC)/ LFA, contributory superannuation benefit fund scheme, transportation advance/ maintenance compensation, performance related incentives (PRP) etc as per rules of the corporation.
The Cost-to-Company (CTC), will be about Rs 17.00 lakhs per annum inclusive of performance related pay (PRP). The real CTC will vary depending on the place of posting, the financial performance of the Corporation and also performance rating of specific. The compensation of the executives is currently under review.

Educational Qualification for IOCL Recruitment through GATE 2019

1. Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor‟s degree in engineering/technology (full-time regular courses only) in the above-mentioned disciplines from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes.
2. Candidates, belonging to General and OBC (non- creamy layer) categories, should have secured minimum 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations.
3. Qualifying marks are relaxed to 55% for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/People with Disability (PWD) candidates.
4. Applicants presently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. Nevertheless, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2018.
5. Applicants pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any disciplines, other than those mentioned above, for being eligible, must have completed (or are completing) BE/ B.Tech in one of the above-mentioned disciplines and should appear in GATE-2019 examination in the discipline of their BE/ B.Tech, are eligible to apply.

For Graduate Engineers: Maximum 26 yearsas on 30th June 2019 for general category candidates.
For Post Graduate Engineers: Maximum 28 years as on 30th June 2019 for general category candidates.
Age relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directives.
Relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD candidates will be extended as per the Presidential Directives.

It recruits Engineers for Officers post on the basis of GATE Score every year. All the detail required to complete application procedure is given below.

Percentage of Marks: 60% marks ( aggregate marks of all semesters) for GEN/OBC and 50% for ST/SC in the qualifying degree examination.
Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2019. At the time of applying, candidates (belonging to General and OBC NC category) should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks up to last semester examinations which are relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Age Limit for HPCL Recruitment through GATE 2019

Upper Limit is 25 years as on 30th June 2019 for the general category candidates i.e. candidates born on or after 30.06.1994. Age relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directives.

Remuneration for HPCL Recruitment through GATE 2019

Selected applicants will initially undergo training for 12 months.
Upon successful completion of training, they will be absorbed at the entry level in the Management Cadre in ‘A’ grade in the Salary Scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000 subject to fulfilling the required performance related/ other criteria.
Upon absorption, the CTC would be approximately Rs 16.7 lakhs per annum**(CTC)

Selection Process

On the basis of GATE 2019 Score Applicants will be shortlisted for Group Task/Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview.
