Note: CAD/CAE are good only to get entry into the field - don't get obsessed with it. Once you are in the industry, expertise in CAD/CAE will not help much unless you are directly involved in research work for the organisation. A very limited number of companies are involved in actual research/design work in India - almost all CAD/CAE work gets outsourced to India by the MNCs. Remember working on CAD is not design. If you are really interested in CAE - go for master/Phd and then try entering industry as a research engineer.

4).I'm a mechanical engineer fresher, not getting a job. What should I do?
Answer:
Ohh, I can totally understand your situation. I have seen so many students who’ve seen this problem. But believe me there is nothing to feel hopeless about it. Of course it is a tough time of your life but rather than sitting alone and getting depressed won’t help right?
So, Just clear your mind. You are fresher you have so much of potential. All you need is to put your energy towards your goal.
First just decide what you want to do. There are a lot of options out there,
- To get a job as soon as possible : For that, revise everything you’ve learnt in your engineering, improve your resume by doing some internships in core companies for 2–3 months. There you will get an experience. Opt for job portals which are totally dedicated to freshers. You can register to freshersworld. Where you can find mechanical engineers jobs. That will definitely help you.
- To go for higher education: For that gear up yourself for preparation of GATE or GRE . Just go to what we call here “Sanyas”. Study hard and prove yourself to get M.tech at IITs or NITs. doinf M.tech from prestigious institutes will help you improve your career.
- To go for IES or IAS : You have core branch, you are eligible to go for IES. Again for that you’ll have to work hard that’s it.
To sum up everything I would suggest
“ In life, If you want to be successful, There is no tomorrow, everything is Now. To be successful you’ll have to work really hard in one phase of your life, once you’ll do it there is no going back.”
Just ask yourself whichever path you are taking “Am I giving my best to this?”
Wish you a very happy career and life ahead. May be I could help you.
